Welcome This is, of course, my header post. I am Lady Cinnibar, and have been using said name for well over a decade now. Awarded due to a Sailor Moon obsession, an old nickname getting mangled, and me looking like a female version of Nephrite. I'm using this journal to post my fanfic which I do not post on FFN. Please, feel free to read, and reviews are greatly appreciated. I don't ban anonymous reviews, mostly because I love to get reviews so very much I'm not putting any hurdles in the way of them. Universes will range all over the world of literature, video, game, and such. Currently I have a Naruto and Final Fantasy 7 crossover, as well as a snippet of a Sailor Moon and Harry Potter crossover. I've also got some snippets of a Final Fantasy 7 and Gundam Wing crossover, and I'm going to freely allow anyone who desires to write their own snippets for that universe to go ahead and do so. I'm not picky, I like a lot of stuff, and can never resist trying to meddle. I also adore crossovers, something about them always tickles my fancy. Feel free to friend me, if you wish. Please, review often. I tend to lose interest in my own work fairly easily, and the more I have reasons to write (I usually list people by name on a post it note next to my computer) the more likely I am to sit down and write instead of gallivanting off doing other things. I also have notoriously bad luck with computers, having had a hard drive actually physically fracture on me, mother boards fry, cases break, et cetera... (Edit 12-20-09: I've found a lot of the cause of the computer issues, that being variable power, and purchased a UPS to protect my delicate electronic friend from brown-outs and power surges, so that should help. YAY!) If you would like to talk to me outside of fanfic, that would be on my livejournal, titled Slightly Demented Scribbles, although updates are rather... infrequent at times. Right now I'm on a computer that was set up because my own went down. The boot sector of the hard drive was corrupted. Months and months ago, really, about a month after my last post. We've been trying to fix it, and I've been trying to sneak everything, including the half written original chapter eight, off the hard drive. No luck so far. Nertz. So, I just decided after I got a kick in the rear that I should go ahead and write a new chapter eight and post it. Missing Nin: Chapter Five Author: Lady Cinnibar Fandom: Naruto, Final Fantasy VII Rating: dunno yet Chapter: Five Title: AWOL Shinobi A/N: I'd say this isn't finished, because I agonized over it, many times. Very many times. I think I rewrote it like twenty times. I give up. Is it a decent scene? ( The spar )A/N: Breif history blurb on Nibelheim... According to the timeline on FF7, "Early to Mid 60's - Shinra raids the village of Kalm with Veld (future leader of the Turks) as the commander. The survivors are taken to Niblehiem." I take that to mean that they were taken to settle in Nibelheim. This event took place long before the game, Sephiroth isn't even born until the late 60's, and the very first reactor and founding of Shinra Electric took place at the same time the original natives of Kalm were moved by force. So in my AU, the blond haired Strife family, along with a few others, may be the only true remaining inhabitants of the original Nibelheim. In this story, Nibelhiem was the last of the true hidden villages in the world outside, forgotten centuries and centuries before Konoha was even founded. A long time ago, Wutai settled the Western Continent closest to them. They made the most inimical territory the ninja village for the continent, creating the Village Hidden by the Ice Demon Mountain. Not that anyone remembers it, but I thought it would make an interesting context for the story. Oops, sorry 'kay, usually I have no life, and I'm not exactly happy with that. I beg people to come and help me have a life sometimes. But right now, I'm kinda curious as to why they have to do it when I want to write fic. Just so you know, I haven't had a chance to sit down properly and go over my notes, do some back editing, and clean up the file I'm storing the Cloud=nukenin fic in so far. Until I do that, I'm going to have a fairly confusing patchwork story. Sorry. Although, I so want to have the summon materia of the Yondaime be active in time for the chunin exams, and have Cloud leap in to save Sandaime because he may not want to return to Konoha, but the death of Sandaime would hurt Naruto, therefore must be prevented. Y'know, all over-protective Cloud. Because then I could write a Sandaime and Yondaime against Shodaime and Nidame scene.... Just so you know, I'm kinda giggling like mad at the idea. The great Hokage battle. Eeei! 'kay, gotta go now. I've got a Christmas list to update, and presents to wrap and label, and fishing line to find, and hopefully discover where the bows got off to.
